Carryon Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Carryon (“the extension”) is built to help you resume YouTube videos, courses, and podcasts from where you left off. This policy explains what data Carryon accesses and how it’s handled.

What Carryon stores

Carryon saves the following information for videos you watch on YouTube:

Where this data lives

All of the above is stored locally on your own device, using your browser’s built-in chrome.storage.local API. Carryon does not operate a server, does not sync this data to any external service, and does not transmit it anywhere. No one other than you — not the developer, not any third party — has access to this data.

What Carryon does NOT do

Removing your data

You can delete any saved video individually from Carryon’s popup list at any time. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data along with it.

Changes to this policy

If Carryon’s data practices change in the future (for example, if a sync feature is added), this policy will be updated accordingly before that change ships.
